In the course of time, Absalom provided himself with a chariot and horses and with fifty men to run ahead of him. And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him. |

압살롬이 일찌기 일어나 ㅏ城門(성문)길 곁에 서서 어떤 사람이든지 訟事(송사)가 있어 王(왕)에게 裁判(재판)을 請(청)하러 올 때에 그 사람을 불러서 이르되 너는 어느 城(성) 사람이냐 그 사람의 對答(대답)이 종은 이스라엘 아무 支派(지파)에 屬(속)하였나이다 하면

He would get up early and stand by the side of the road leading to the city gate. Whenever anyone came with a complaint to be placed before the king for a decision, Absalom would call out to him, "What town are you from?" He would answer, "Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel." And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel. |

압살롬이 저에게 이르기를 네 일이 옳고 바르다마는 네 訟事(송사) 들을 사람을 王(왕)께서 세우지 아니하셨다 하고
Then Absalom would say to him, "Look, your claims are valid and proper, but there is no representative of the king to hear you." And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee. |

또 이르기를 ㅑ내가 이 땅에서 裁判官(재판관)이 되고 누구든지 訟事(송사)나 裁判(재판) 할 일이 있어 내게로 오는 者(자)에게 내가 公義(공의) 베풀기를 願(원)하노라 하고

And Absalom would add, "If only I were appointed judge in the land! Then everyone who has a complaint or case could come to me and I would see that he gets justice." Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice! |

사람이 가까이 와서 절하려 하면 압살롬이 손을 펴서 그 사람을 붙들고 입을 맞추니
Also, whenever anyone approached him to bow down before him, Absalom would reach out his hand, take hold of him and kiss him. And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him. |

무릇 이스라엘 무리 中(중)에 王(왕)께 裁判(재판)을 請(청)하러 오는 者(자)들에게 압살롬의 行(행)함이 이같아서 이스라엘 사람의 마음을 盜賊(도적)하니라
Absalom behaved in this way toward all the Israelites who came to the king asking for justice, and so he stole the hearts of the men of Israel. And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel. |

● 1)ㅓ四年(사년)만에 압살롬이 王(왕)께 告(고)하되 내가 여호와께 誓願(서원)한 것이 있사오니 請(청)컨대 나로 헤브론에 가서 그 誓願(서원)을 이루게 하소서

At the end of four years, Absalom said to the king, "Let me go to Hebron and fulfill a vow I made to the LORD. And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron. |

ㅕ종이 아람 그술에 있을 때에 ㅗ誓願(서원)하기를 萬一(만일) 여호와께서 나를 예루살렘으로 돌아가게 하시면 내가 여호와를 섬기리이다 하였나이다
While your servant was living at Geshur in Aram, I made this vow: 'If the LORD takes me back to Jerusalem, I will worship the LORD in Hebron.'" For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD. |

이에 압살롬이 偵探(정탐)을 이스라엘 모든 支派(지파) 가운데 두루 보내어 이르기를 너희는 나팔소리를 듣거든 곧 부르기를 압살롬이 헤브론에서 王(왕)이 되었다 하라 하니라
Then Absalom sent secret messengers throughout the tribes of Israel to say, "As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpets, then say, 'Absalom is king in Hebron.'" But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron. |

그 때에 압살롬에게 ㅜ請(청)함을 받은 二百名(이백명)이 그 事機(사기)를 알지 못하고 ㅠ아무 뜻 없이 예루살렘에서 저와 함께 갔으며
Two hundred men from Jerusalem had accompanied Absalom. They had been invited as guests and went quite innocently, knowing nothing about the matter. And with Absalom went two hundred men out of Jerusalem, that were called; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing. |

祭祀(제사) 드릴 때에 압살롬이 사람을 보내어 으다윗의 謀士(모사) 길로 사람 이아히도벨을 그 城邑(성읍) ㅐ길로에서 請(청)하여 온지라 叛逆(반역)하는 일이 커 가매 압살롬에게로 돌아오는 百姓(백성)이 ㄱ많아지니라
While Absalom was offering sacrifices, he also sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counselor, to come from Giloh, his hometown. And so the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom's following kept on increasing. And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom. |

● 使者(사자)가 다윗에게 와서 告(고)하되 ㄴ이스라엘의 人心(인심)이 다 압살롬에게로 돌아갔나이다 한지라

A messenger came and told David, "The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom." And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom. |

다윗이 예루살렘에 함께 있는 모든 臣僕(신복)에게 이르되 일어나 ㄷ逃亡(도망)하자 그렇지 아니하면 우리 한사람도 압살롬에게서 避(피)하지 못하리라 빨리 가자 두렵건대 저가 우리를 急(급)히 따라와서 害(해)하고 칼로 城(성)을 칠까 하노라

Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, "Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin upon us and put the city to the sword." And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword. |

王(왕)의 臣僕(신복)들이 王(왕)께 告(고)하되 우리 主(주) 王(왕)의 하고자 하시는 대로 우리가 行(행)하리이다 하더라
The king's officials answered him, "Your servants are ready to do whatever our lord the king chooses." And the king's servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint. |

王(왕)이 나갈 때에 眷屬(권속)을 다 따르게 하고 ㄹ後宮(후궁) 열名(명)을 남겨 두어 宮(궁)을 지키게 하니라
The king set out, with his entire household following him; but he left ten concubines to take care of the palace. And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, which were concubines, to keep the house. |

王(왕)이 나가매 모든 百姓(백성)이 다 따라서 2)벧메르학에 이르러 머무니

So the king set out, with all the people following him, and they halted at a place some distance away. And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off. |

ㅁ모든 臣僕(신복)이 그 곁으로 지나가고 모든 그렛 사람과 모든 블렛 사람과 및 王(왕)을 따라 ㅂ가드에서 온 六百人(육백인)이 王(왕)의 앞으로 進行(진행)하니라
All his men marched past him, along with all the Kerethites and Pelethites; and all the six hundred Gittites who had accompanied him from Gath marched before the king. And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men which came after him from Gath, passed on before the king. |

● 그 때에 王(왕)이 가드 사람 ㅅ잇대에게 이르되 어찌하여 너도 우리와 함께 가느냐 너는 쫓겨난 나그네니 돌아가서 王(왕)과 함께 네 곳에 있으라

The king said to Ittai the Gittite, "Why should you come along with us? Go back and stay with King Absalom. You are a foreigner, an exile from your homeland. Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile. |

너는 어제 왔고 나는 ㅇ定處(정처) 없이 가니 오늘날 어찌 너로 우리와 함께 流離(유리)하게 하리요 너도 돌아가고 네 同胞(동포)들도 데려가라 恩惠(은혜)와 眞理(진리)가 너와 함께 있기를 願(원)하노라

You came only yesterday. And today shall I make you wander about with us, when I do not know where I am going? Go back, and take your countrymen. May kindness and faithfulness be with you." Whereas thou camest but yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth be with thee. |

잇대가 王(왕)께 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ㅈ여호와의 사심과 우리 主(주) 王(왕)의 사심으로 盟誓(맹세)하옵나니 ㅊ眞實(진실)로 내 主(주) 王(왕)께서 어느 곳에 계시든지 無論(무론) 死生(사생)하고 종도 그곳에 있겠나이다
But Ittai replied to the king, "As surely as the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether it means life or death, there will your servant be." And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be. |

다윗이 잇대에게 이르되 앞서 건너가라 하매 가드 사람 잇대와 그 從者(종자)들과 그와 함께 한 아이들이 다 건너가고
David said to Ittai, "Go ahead, march on." So Ittai the Gittite marched on with all his men and the families that were with him. And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that were with him. |

온 땅 사람이 大聲痛哭(대성통곡)하며 모든 人民(인민)이 앞서 건너가매 王(왕)도 ㅋ기드론 ㅌ시내를 건너가니 건너간 모든 百姓(백성)이 ㅍ曠野(광야) 길로 向(향)하니라
The whole countryside wept aloud as all the people passed by. The king also crossed the Kidron Valley, and all the people moved on toward the desert. And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness. |

● ㅎ사독과 그와 함께 한 모든 레위 사람이 ㅏ하나님의 言約櫃(언약궤)를 메어다가 내려놓고 ㅑ아비아달도 올라와서 모든 百姓(백성)이 城(성)에서 나오기를 기다리더니
Zadok was there, too, and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. They set down the ark of God, and Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving the city. And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city. |

王(왕)이 사독에게 이르되 하나님의 櫃(궤)를 城(성)으로 도로 메어 가라 萬一(만일) 내가 여호와 앞에서 恩惠(은혜)를 얻으면 도로 ㅓ나를 引導(인도)하사 내게 그 櫃(궤)와 ㅕ그 계신 데를 보이시리라
Then the king said to Zadok, "Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the LORD'S eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again. And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation: |

그러나 저가 말씀하시기를 ㅗ내가 너를 기뻐하지 아니한다 하시면 종이 여기 있사오니 ㅛ善(선)히 여기시는 대로 내게 行(행)하시옵소서 하리라
But if he says, 'I am not pleased with you,' then I am ready; let him do to me whatever seems good to him." But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him. |

王(왕)이 또 祭司長(제사장) 사독에게 이르되 네가 ㅜ先見者(선견자)가 아니냐 너는 ㅠ너희의 두 아들 곧 네 아들 아히마아스와 아비아달의 아들 요나단을 데리고 平安(평안)히 城(성)으로 돌아가라
The king also said to Zadok the priest, "Aren't you a seer? Go back to the city in peace, with your son Ahimaaz and Jonathan son of Abiathar. You and Abiathar take your two sons with you. The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar. |

너희에게서 내게 告(고)하는 奇別(기별)이 올 때까지 내가 曠野(광야) 으나룻터에서 기다리리라

I will wait at the fords in the desert until word comes from you to inform me." See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until there come word from you to certify me. |

사독과 아비아달이 하나님의 櫃(궤)를 예루살렘으로 도로 메어다 놓고 거기 留(유)하니라
So Zadok and Abiathar took the ark of God back to Jerusalem and stayed there. Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there. |

● 다윗이 감람山(산) 길로 올라갈 때에 이머리를 가리우고 ㅐ맨발로 울며 行(행)하고 저와 함께 가는 百姓(백성)들도 各各(각각) 그 머리를 가리우고 ㄱ울며 올라가니라
But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went; his head was covered and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too and were weeping as they went up. And David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that was with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up. |

或(혹)이 다윗에게 告(고)하되 압살롬과 함께 謀叛(모반)한 者(자)들 가운데 아히도벨이 있나이다 하니 다윗이 가로되 여호와여 願(원)컨대 ㄴ아히도벨의 謀略(모략)을 어리석게 하옵소서 하니라
Now David had been told, "Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom." So David prayed, "O LORD, turn Ahithophel's counsel into foolishness." And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness. |

다윗이 하나님을 敬拜(경배)하는 마루턱에 이를 때에 ㄷ아렉 사람 후새가 ㄹ옷을 찢고 흙을 머리에 무릅쓰고 다윗을 맞으러 온지라
When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head. And it came to pass, that when David was come to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat rent, and earth upon his head: |

그러나 네가 萬一(만일) 城(성)으로 돌아가서 압살롬에게 말하기를 王(왕)이여 ㅂ내가 王(왕)의 종이니이다 已往(이왕)에는 王(왕)의 父親(부친)의 종이었더니 내가 이제는 王(왕)의 종이니이다 하면 네가 나를 爲(위)하여 아히도벨의 謀略(모략)을 敗(패)하게 하리라

But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, 'I will be your servant, O king; I was your father's servant in the past, but now I will be your servant,' then you can help me by frustrating Ahithophel's advice. But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel. |

사독과 아비아달 두 祭司長(제사장)이 너와 함께 거기 있지 아니하냐 네가 宮中(궁중)에서 무엇을 듣든지 ㅅ사독과 아비아달 두 祭司長(제사장)에게 告(고)하라
Won't the priests Zadok and Abiathar be there with you? Tell them anything you hear in the king's palace. And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests. |

저희의 두 아들 곧 사독의 아히마아스와 아비아달의 요나단이 저희와 함께 거기 있나니 ㅇ무릇 너희 듣는 것을 저희 便(편)으로 내게 奇別(기별)할찌니라

Their two sons, Ahimaaz son of Zadok and Jonathan son of Abiathar, are there with them. Send them to me with anything you hear." Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abiathar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear. |

ㅈ다윗의 親舊(친구) 후새가 곧 城(성)으로 들어가고 ㅊ압살롬도 예루살렘으로 들어갔더라
So David's friend Hushai arrived at Jerusalem as Absalom was entering the city. So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem. |
