예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 弟子(제자)들과 함께 ㅗ기드론 시내 저便(편)으로 ㅛ나가시니 거기 동산이 있는데 弟子(제자)들과 함께 들어가시다
When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was an olive grove, and he and his disciples went into it. When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. |

ㅜ거기는 예수께서 弟子(제자)들과 가끔 모이시는 곳이므로 예수를 파는 유다도 그 ㅠ곳을 알더라
Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. |

으유다가 軍隊(군대)와 및 大祭司長(대제사장)들과 바리새人(인)들에게서 얻은 下屬(하속)들을 데리고 燈(등)과 홰와 兵器(병기)를 가지고 그리로 오는지라
So Judas came to the grove, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons. Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. |

예수께서 이그 當(당)할 일을 다 아시고 나아가 가라사대 너희가 ㅐ누구를 찾느냐
Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Who is it you want?" Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? |

對答(대답)하되 나사렛 예수라 하거늘 가라사대 내로라 하시니라 그를 파는 유다도 저희와 함께 섰더라
Jesus of Nazareth, they replied. "I am he," Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. |

ㄱ예수께서 저희에게 내로라 하실때에 저희가 물러가서 땅에 엎드러지는지라
When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. |

이에 다시 누구를 찾느냐고 물으신대 저희가 말하되 나사렛 예수라 하거늘
Again he asked them, "Who is it you want?" And they said, "Jesus of Nazareth." Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. |

예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 너희에게 내로라 하였으니 나를 찾거든 이 사람들의 가는 것을 容納(용납)하라 하시니
I told you that I am he, Jesus answered. "If you are looking for me, then let these men go." Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: |

ㄴ이는 아버지께서 내게 주신 者(자) 中(중)에서 하나도 잃지 아니하였삽나이다 하신 말씀을 應(응)하게 하려

이에 시몬 베드로가 ㄷ劍(검)을 가졌는데 이것을 빼어 大祭司長(대제사장)의 종을 쳐서 오른便(편) 귀를 베어버리니 그 종의 이름은 말고라

예수께서 베드로더러 이르시되 劍(검)을 집에 꽃으라 ㄹ아버지께서 주신 盞(잔)을 내가 마시지 아니하겠느냐 하시니라
Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?" Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? |

● 이에 軍隊(군대)와 千夫長(천부장)과 유대人(인)의 下屬(하속)들이 예수를 잡아 結縛(결박)하여
Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus. They bound him Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, |

먼저 ㅁ안나스에게로 ㅂ끌고 가니 안나스는 그 해의 大祭司長(대제사장)인 ㅅ가야바의 丈人(장인)이라
and brought him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year. And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. |

가야바는 유대人(인)들에게 ㅇ한 사람이 百姓(백성)을 爲(위)하여 죽는 것이 有益(유익)하다 眷顧(권고)하던 者(자)러라

Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it would be good if one man died for the people. Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. |

● ㅈ시몬 베드로와 또 다른 弟子(제자) 하나가 예수를 따르니 이 弟子(제자)는 大祭司長(대제사장)과 아는 사람이라 예수와 함께 大祭司長(대제사장)의 집 뜰에 들어가고
Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the high priest's courtyard, And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. |

ㅊ베드로는 門(문) 밖에 섰는지라 大祭司長(대제사장)과 아는 그 다른 弟子(제자)가 나가서 門(문)지키는 女子(여자)에게 말하여 베드로를 데리고 들어왔더니
but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the girl on duty there and brought Peter in. But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. |

ㅋ門(문) 지키는 女(여)종이 베드로에게 말하되 너도 이 사람의 弟子(제자) 中(중) 하나가 아니냐 하니 그가 말하되 나는 아니라 하고

You are not one of his disciples, are you? the girl at the door asked Peter. He replied, "I am not." Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not. |

그 때가 추운故(고)로 종과 下屬(하속)들이 숯불을 피우고 서서 쬐니 ㅌ베드로도 함께 서서 쬐더라
It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself. And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. |

● ㅍ大祭司長(대제사장)이 예수에게 그의 弟子(제자)들과 그의 敎訓(교훈)에 對(대)하여 물으니
Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching. The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. |

예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 내가 ㅎ드러내어 놓고 ㅏ世上(세상)에 말하였노라 모든 유대人(인)들의 모이는 會堂(회당)과 聖殿(성전)에서 恒常(항상) 가르쳤고 ㅑ隱密(은밀)히는 아무 것도 말하지 아니하였거늘
I have spoken openly to the world, Jesus replied. "I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. |

어찌하여 내게 묻느냐 내가 무슨 말을 하였는지 들은 者(자)들에게 물어보라 저희가 나의 하던 말을 아느니라
Why question me? Ask those who heard me. Surely they know what I said." Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said. |

이 말씀을 하시매 곁에 섰는 下屬(하속) 하나가 ㅓ손으로 예수를 쳐 ㅕ가로되 네가 大祭司長(대제사장)에게 이같이 對答(대답)하느냐 하니
When Jesus said this, one of the officials nearby struck him in the face. "Is this the way you answer the high priest?" he demanded. And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? |

예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 내가 말을 잘못하였으면 그 잘못한 것을 證據(증거)하라 잘하였으면 네가 어찌하여 나를 치느냐 하시더라
If I said something wrong, Jesus replied, "testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?" Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? |

● ㅛ시몬 베드로가 서서 불을 쬐더니 사람들이 묻되 너도 그 弟子(제자) 中(중) 하나가 아니냐 베드로가 否認(부인)하여 가로되 나는 아니라 하니
As Simon Peter stood warming himself, he was asked, "You are not one of his disciples, are you?" He denied it, saying, "I am not." And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not. |

ㅜ大祭司長(대제사장)의 종 하나는 베드로에게 귀를 베어 버리운 사람의 一家(일가)라 가로되 네가 그 사람과 함께 ㅠ동산에 있던 것을 내가 보지 아니하였느냐
One of the high priest's servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, challenged him, "Didn't I see you with him in the olive grove?" One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? |

이에 베드로가 또 否認(부인)하니 곧 으닭이 울더라

Again Peter denied it, and at that moment a rooster began to crow. Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew. |

● 이저희가 예수를 ㅐ가야바에게서 ㄱ官庭(관정)으로 끌고 가니 새벽이라 저희는 ㄴ더럽힘을 받지 아니하고 ㄷ逾越節(유월절) 잔치를 먹고자 하여
官庭(관정)에 들어가지 아니하더라
Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness the Jews did not enter the palace; they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. |

그러므로 ㄹ빌라도가 밖으로 저희에게 나가서 말하되 너희가 무슨 일로 이 사람을 告訴(고소)하느냐
So Pilate came out to them and asked, "What charges are you bringing against this man?" Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man? |

對答(대답)하여 가로되 이 사람이 行惡者(행악자)가 아니었더면 우리가 當身(당신)에게 넘기지 아니하였겠나이다
If he were not a criminal, they replied, "we would not have handed him over to you." They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. |

빌라도가 가로되 너희가 저를 ㅁ데려다가 너희 法(법)대로 裁判(재판)하라 유대人(인)들이 가로되 우리에게는 사람을 죽이는 權(권)이 없나이다 하니

ㅂ이는 예수께서 自己(자기)가 어떠한 죽음으로 죽을 것을 ㅅ가리켜 하신 말씀을 應(응)하게 하려
함이러라
This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken indicating the kind of death he was going to die would be fulfilled. That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die. |

● ㅇ이에 빌라도가 다시 官庭(관정)에 들어가 예수를 불러 가로되 ㅈ네가 유대人(인)의 王(왕)이냐
Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? |

예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 이는 네가 스스로 하는 말이뇨 다른 사람들이 나를 對(대)하여 네게 한 말이뇨
Is that your own idea, Jesus asked, "or did others talk to you about me?" Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? |

빌라도가 對答(대답)하되 내가 유대人(인)이냐 네 나라 사람과 大祭司長(대제사장)들이 너를 내게 넘겼으니 네가 무엇을 하였느냐
Am I a Jew? Pilate replied. "It was your people and your chief priests who handed you over to me. What is it you have done?" Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? |

예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 ㅊ내 나라는 이 ㅋ世上(세상)에 屬(속)한 것이 아니라 萬一(만일) 내 나라가 이 世上(세상)에 屬(속)한 것이었더면 ㅌ내 종들이 싸워 ㅍ나로 유대人(인)들에게 넘기우지 않게 하였으리라 이제 내
나라는 여기에 屬(속)한 것이 아니니라
Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place." Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. |

빌라도가 가로되 그러면 네가 王(왕)이 아니냐 예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 ㅎ네 말과 같이 내가 王(왕)이니라 ㅏ내가 이를 爲(위)하여 났으며
ㅑ이를 爲(위)하여 世上(세상)에 왔나니 곧 ㅓ眞理(진리)에 對(대)하여 證據(증거)하려 함이로다 무릇
ㅕ眞理(진리)에 屬(속)한 ㅗ者(자)는
ㅛ내 소리를 듣느니라 하신대
You are a king, then! said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. |

빌라도가 가로되 眞理(진리)가 무엇이냐 하더라 ● 이 말을 하고 다시 유대人(인)들에게 ㅜ나가서 이르되 ㅠ나는 그에게서 아무 罪(죄)도 찾지 못하노라 What is truth? Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. |

으逾越節(유월절)이면 내가 너희에게 한사람을 놓아 주는 前例(전례)가 있으니 그러면 너희는 내가 유대人(인)의 王(왕)을 너희에게 놓아 주기를
願(원)하느냐 하니
But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of the Passover. Do you want me to release 'the king of the Jews'?" But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? |

저희가 또 소리 질러 가로되 이이 사람이 아니라 바라바라 하니 바라바는 强盜(강도)러라

They shouted back, "No, not him! Give us Barabbas!" Now Barabbas had taken part in a rebellion. Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. |
