After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war on Jehoshaphat. It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. |

或(혹)이 와서 여호사밧에게 告(고)하여 가로되 큰 무리가 바다 저便(편) 아람에서 王(왕)을 치러 오는데 이제 ㅁ하사손다말 곧 ㅂ엔게디에 있나이다
Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, "A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea. It is already in Hazazon Tamar" (that is, En Gedi). Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. |

여호사밧이 두려워하여 ㅅ여호와께로 낯을 向(향)하여 懇求(간구)하고 ㅇ온 유다 百姓(백성)에게 禁食(금식)하라 公布(공포)하매
Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. |

유다 사람이 여호와께 도우심을 求(구)하려 하여 유다 모든 城邑(성읍)에서 모여와서 여호와께 懇求(간구)하더라
The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD. |

● 여호사밧이 여호와의 殿(전) 새 뜰 앞에서 유다와 예루살렘의 會衆(회중) 가운데 서서
Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the LORD in the front of the new courtyard And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court, |

가로되 우리 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와여 主(주)는 ㅈ하늘에서 하나님이 아니시니이까 ㅊ異邦(이방) 사람의 모든 나라를 다스리지 아니하시나이까 ㅋ主(주)의 손에 權勢(권세)와 能力(능력)이 있사오니 能(능)히 막을 사람이 없나이다
and said: "O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? |

우리 하나님이시여 ㅌ前(전)에 이 땅 居民(거민)을 主(주)의 百姓(백성) 이스라엘 앞에서 쫓아내시고 그 땅으로 主(주)의 벗 ㅍ아브라함의 子孫(자손)에게 永永(영영)히 주지 아니하셨나이까
O our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever? |

저희가 이 땅에 居(거)하여 主(주)의 이름을 爲(위)하여 한 聖所(성소)를 建築(건축)하고 이르기를
They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying, And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying, |

ㅎ萬一(만일) 災殃(재앙)이나 亂離(난리)나 譴責(견책)이나 瘟疫(온역)이나 饑饉(기근)이 우리에게 臨(임)하면 ㅏ主(주)의 이름이 이 殿(전)에 있으니 ㅑ우리가 이 殿(전) 앞과 主(주)의 앞에 서서 이 患難(환난) 가운데서 主(주)께 부르짖은즉 들으시고 救援(구원)하시리라 하였나이다
'If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.' If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. |

옛적에 이스라엘이 애굽 땅에서 나올 때에 ㅓ암몬 子孫(자손)과 모압 子孫(자손)과 ㅕ세일山(산) 사람을
ㅗ侵擄(침노)하기를 主(주)께서 容納(용납)하지 아니하시므로 ㅛ이에 치우쳐 저희를 떠나고 滅(멸)하지 아니하였거늘
But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them. And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not; |

이제 저희가 우리에게 갚는 것을 보옵소서 ㅜ저희가 와서 主(주)께서 우리에게 주신 主(주)의 基業(기업)에서 우리를
쫓아 내고자 하나이다
See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance. Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. |

우리 하나님이여 ㅠ저희를 懲罰(징벌)하지 아니하시나이까 우리를 치러 오는 이 큰 무리를 우리가 對敵(대적)할 能力(능력)이 없고 어떻게 할 줄도 알지 못하옵고 으오직
主(주)만 바라보나이다 하고
O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you." O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. |

유다 모든 사람은 그 아내와 子女(자녀)와 어린 者(자)로 더불어 여호와 앞에 섰더라
All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the LORD. And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children. |
14 |
● 이여호와의 神(신)이 會衆(회중) 가운데서 레위 사람 야하시엘에게 臨(임)하셨으니 저는 아삽 子孫(자손) 맛다냐의 玄孫(현손)이요 여이엘의 曾孫(증손)이요 브나야의 孫子(손자)요 스가랴의 아들이더라

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly. Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; |

야하시엘이 가로되 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 여호사밧 王(왕)이여 들을찌어다 여호와께서 너희에게 말씀하시기를
ㅐ이 큰 무리로 因(인)하여 두려워하거나 놀라지 말라 ㄱ이 戰爭(전쟁)이 너희에게 屬(속)한 것이 아니요 하나님께 屬(속)한 것이니라
He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's. And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. |

來日(내일) 너희는 마주 내려 가라 저희가 시스 고개로 말미암아 올라오리니 너희가 ㄴ골짜기 어귀 여루엘 들 앞에서 만나려니와

Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. |

ㄷ이 戰爭(전쟁)에는 너희가 싸울 것이 없나니 行伍(항오)를 이루고 서서 너희와 함께한 여호와가 救援(구원)하는 것을 보라 유다와 예루살렘아 너희는 두려워하며 놀라지
말고 來日(내일) 저희를 마주 나가라 ㄹ여호와가 너희와 함께 하리라 하셨느니라 하매
You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'" Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. |

여호사밧이 ㅁ몸을 굽혀 얼굴을 땅에 대니 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)들도 여호와 앞에 엎드려 敬拜(경배)하고
Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the LORD. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD. |
19 |
ㅂ그핫 子孫(자손)과 ㅅ고라 子孫(자손)에게 屬(속)한 레위 사람들은 서서 甚(심)히 큰 소리로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하니라
Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with very loud voice. And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high. |
20 |
● 이에 百姓(백성)들이 일찌기 일어나서 ㅇ드고아 들로 나가니라 나갈 때에 여호사밧이 서서 가로되 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)들아 내 말을 들을찌어다 너희는 ㅈ너희 하나님 여호와를 信賴(신뢰)하라
그리하면 堅固(견고)히 서리라 그 先知者(선지자)를 信賴(신뢰)하라 그리하면 亨通(형통)하리라 하고
Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful." And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. |

百姓(백성)으로 더불어 議論(의논)하고 노래하는 者(자)를 擇(택)하여 ㅊ거룩한 禮服(예복)을 입히고 軍隊(군대) 앞에서 行(행)하며 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하여 이르기를
ㅋ여호와께 感謝(감사)하세 그 慈悲(자비)하심이 永遠(영원)하도다 하게 하였더니
After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever." And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. |

그 노래와 讚頌(찬송)이 始作(시작)될 때에 ㅌ여호와께서 伏兵(복병)을 두어 유다를 치러 온
ㅍ암몬 子孫(자손)과 모압과 세일山(산) 사람을 치게 하시므로 저희가 敗(패)하였으니
As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. |
23 |
곧 암몬과 모압 子孫(자손)이 일어나 세일山(산) 居民(거민)을 쳐서 殄滅(진멸)하고 세일 居民(거민)을 滅(멸)한 後(후)에는 ㅎ저희가 彼此(피차)에
殺戮(살륙)하였더라
The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. |

● 유다 사람이 들 望臺(망대)에 이르러 그 무리를 본즉 땅에 엎드러진 屍體(시체)뿐이요 하나도 避(피)한 者(자)가 없는지라
When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. |

여호사밧과 그 百姓(백성)이 가서 敵軍(적군)의 物件(물건)을 取(취)할새 본즉 그 가운데에 財物(재물)과 衣服(의복)과 寶物(보물)이 많이 있는 故(고)로 各其(각기) 取(취)하는데 그 物件(물건)이
너무 많아 能(능)히 가져갈 수 없을만큼 많으므로 사흘 동안에 取(취)하고
So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value--more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much. |

第(제) 四日(사일)에 무리가 2)브라가 골짜기에 모여서 거기서 여호와를 頌祝(송축)한지라 그러므로 오늘날까지 그곳을 브라가 골짜기라 일컫더라
2) 송축
On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the Valley of Beracah to this day. And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day. |

유다와 예루살렘 모든 사람이 여호사밧을 先頭(선두)로 즐거이 예루살렘으로 돌아왔으니 ㅏ이는 여호와께서 저희로 그 敵軍(적군)을 이김을 因(인)하여 즐거워하게 하셨음이라

Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies. |

무리가 琵琶(비파)와 竪琴(수금)과 나팔을 合奏(합주)하고 예루살렘에 이르러 여호와의 殿(전)에 나아가니라
They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the LORD with harps and lutes and trumpets. And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD. |

ㅑ異邦(이방) 모든 나라가 여호와께서 이스라엘의 敵軍(적군)을 치셨다 함을 듣고 하나님을 두려워한 故(고)로
The fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel. |
30 |
여호사밧의 나라가 泰平(태평)하였으니 ㅓ이는 그 하나님이 四方(사방)에서 저희에게 平康(평강)을 주셨음이더라
And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about. |
31 |
● ㅕ여호사밧이 유다 王(왕)이 되어 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 三十五歲(삼십오세)라 예루살렘에서 二十五年(이십오년)을 治理(치리)하니라
그 母親(모친)의 이름은 아수바라 실히의 딸이더라
So Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. His mother's name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi. And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi. |

여호사밧이 그 父親(부친) 아사의 길로 行(행)하여 돌이켜 떠나지 아니하고 여호와 보시기에 正直(정직)히 行(행)하였으나
He walked in the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD. And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD. |
33 |
ㅗ山堂(산당)은 廢(폐)하지 아니하였으므로 ㅛ百姓(백성)이 오히려 마음을 定(정)하여 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님께로 돌아오지 아니하였더라
The high places, however, were not removed, and the people still had not set their hearts on the God of their fathers. Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers. |

이 外(외)에 여호사밧의 始終(시종) 行蹟(행적)이 하나니의 아들 ㅜ예후의 글에 다 記錄(기록)되었고 ㅠ그 글은 이스라엘
列王記(열왕기)에 올랐더라
The other events of Jehoshaphat's reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel. |

● 으유다 王(왕) 여호사밧이 나중에 이스라엘 王(왕) 아하시야와 交際(교제)하였는데 아하시야는 甚(심)히 惡(악)을 行(행)하는 者(자)이었더라
Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who was guilty of wickedness. And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly: |

두 王(왕)이 서로 結合(결합)하고 배를 지어 이다시스로 보내고자 하여 에시온게벨에서 배를 지었더니

마레사 사람 도다와후의 아들 엘리에셀이 여호사밧을 向(향)하여 豫言(예언)하여 가로되 ㅐ王(왕)이 아하시야와 交際(교제)하는 故(고)로 여호와께서 王(왕)의 지은 것을 破(파)하시리라
하더니 이에 그 배가 破傷(파상)하여 다시스로 가지 못하였더라

Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, "Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made." The ships were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade. 2CH Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish. |
