으至極(지극)히 높으신 하나님이 내게 行(행)하신 이異蹟(이적)과 奇事(기사)를 내가 알게 하기를 즐겨하노라
It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me. I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me. |

크도다, 그 異蹟(이적)이여 能(능)하도다 그 奇事(기사)여, ㅐ그 나라는 永遠(영원)한 나라요 그 權柄(권병)은 代代(대대)에 이르리로다

How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation. How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation. |

● 나 느부갓네살이 내 집에 便(편)히 있으며 내 宮(궁)에서 平康(평강)할 때에
I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at home in my palace, contented and prosperous. I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace: |

한 꿈을 꾸고 그로 因(인)하여 두려워하였으되 곧 내 寢床(침상)에서 생각하는 것과 ㄱ腦(뇌) 속으로 받은 異像(이상)을 因(인)하여 煩悶(번민)하였었노라
I had a dream that made me afraid. As I was lying in my bed, the images and visions that passed through my mind terrified me. I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. |

이러므로 ㄴ내가 命(명)을 내려 ㄷ바벨론 모든 博士(박사)를 내 앞으로 불러다가 그 꿈의 解釋(해석)을 내게 알게 하라 하매
So I commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be brought before me to interpret the dream for me. Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream. |

ㄹ박수와 術客(술객)과
갈대아 術士(술사)와 占匠(점장)이가 들어왔기로 내가 그 꿈을 그들에게 告(고)하였으나 ㅁ그들이 그 解釋(해석)을 내게 알게 하지
못하였느니라
When the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners came, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me. Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof. |

그 後(후)에 다니엘이 내 앞에 들어왔으니 그는 내 神(신)의 이름을 좇아 ㅂ벨드사살이라 이름한 者(자)요 그의 안에서
ㅅ거룩한 神(신)들의 靈(영)이 있는 者(자)라 내가 그에게 꿈을 告(고)하여 가로되
Finally, Daniel came into my presence and I told him the dream. (He is called Belteshazzar, after the name of my god, and the spirit of the holy gods is in him.) But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying, |

ㅇ박수長(장) 벨드사살아 네 안에는 거룩한 神(신)들의 靈(영)이 있은즉
ㅈ아무 隱密(은밀)한 것이라도 네게는 어려울 것이 없는 줄을 내가 아노니 내 꿈에 본 異像(이상)의 解釋(해석)을 내게 告(고)하라
I said, "Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me. O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof. |

These are the visions I saw while lying in my bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous. Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. |

그 ㅌ잎사귀는 아름답고 그 열매는 많아서 萬民(만민)의 植物(식물)이 될 만하고 ㅍ들짐승이 그 그늘에 있으며 空中(공중)에 나는 새는 그 가지에 깃들이고 무릇 血氣(혈기)
있는 者(자)가 거기서 植物(식물)을 얻더라
Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit abundant, and on it was food for all. Under it the beasts of the field found shelter, and the birds of the air lived in its branches; from it every creature was fed. The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. |

내가 寢床(침상)에서 腦(뇌) 속으로 받은 異像(이상) 가운데 또 본즉 ㅎ한 巡察者(순찰자), ㅏ한 거룩한 者(자)가 하늘에서 내려왔는데
In the visions I saw while lying in my bed, I looked, and there before me was a messenger, a holy one, coming down from heaven. I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven; |

그가 ㅑ소리 질러 외쳐서 이처럼 이르기를 ㅓ그 나무를 베고 ㅕ그 가지를 찍고 그 잎사귀를 떨고 그 열매를 헤치고 짐승들로 그 아래서 떠나게 하고
새들을 그 가지에서 쫓아내라
He called in a loud voice: 'Cut down the tree and trim off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches. He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches: |

그러나 그 뿌리의 그루터기를 땅에 남겨두고 鐵(철)과 놋줄로 동이고 그것으로 들 靑草(청초) 가운데 있게 하라 그것이 하늘 이슬에 젖고 땅의 풀
가운데서 짐승으로 더불어 그 分量(분량)을 같이 하리라
But let the stump and its roots, bound with iron and bronze, remain in the ground, in the grass of the field. "'Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth. Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: |

또 그 마음은 變(변)하여 人生(인생)의 마음 같지 아니하고 짐승의 마음을 받아 ㅗ일곱 때를 ㅛ지나리라
Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him. Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. |

이는 巡察者(순찰자)들의 命令(명령)대로요 거룩한 者(자)들의 말대로니 곧 人生(인생)으로 至極(지극)히 높으신 者(자)가 ㅜ人間(인간) 나라를 다스리시며
ㅠ自己(자기)의 뜻대로 그것을 누구에게든지 주시며 또 으至極(지극)히 賤(천)한 者(자)로 그 위에 세우시는 줄을 알게 하려 함이니라 하였느니라
'The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men.' This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. |

나 느부갓네살 王(왕)이 이 꿈을 꾸었나니 너 벨드사살아 그 解釋(해석)을 밝히 말하라 내 나라 모든 이博士(박사)가 能(능)히 그 解釋(해석)을 내게 알게 하지
못하였으나 오직 너는 能(능)히 하리니 이는 ㅐ거룩한 神(신)들의 靈(영)이 네 안에 있음이니라
This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me what it means, for none of the wise men in my kingdom can interpret it for me. But you can, because the spirit of the holy gods is in you. This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. |

● 벨드사살이라 이름한 다니엘이 얼마 동안 ㄱ놀라 벙벙하며 ㄴ마음이 煩悶(번민)하여 하는지라 王(왕)이 그에게 말하여 이르기를 벨드사살아 너는 이 꿈과 그 解釋(해석)을 因(인)하여 煩悶(번민)할 것이 아니니라 벨드사살이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 내 主(주)여 ㄷ그 꿈은 王(왕)을 미워하는 者(자)에게 應(응)하기를 願(원)하며 그 解釋(해석)은 王(왕)의 對敵(대적)에게 應(응)하기를 願(원)하나이다
Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said, "Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you." Belteshazzar answered, "My lord, if only the dream appliad to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries! Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies. |

ㅂ王(왕)이여 이 나무는 곧 王(왕)이시라 ㅅ이는 王(왕)이 자라서 堅固(견고)하여지고 昌大(창대)하사 하늘에 닿으시며 權勢(권세)는 땅 끝까지 미치심이니이다
you, O king, are that tree! You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth. It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth. |

王(왕)이 보신즉 ㅇ한 巡察者(순찰자), 한 거룩한 者(자)가 하늘에서 내려와서 이르기를
ㅈ그 나무를 베고 滅(멸)하라 그러나 그 뿌리의 그루터기는 땅에 남겨두고 鐵(철)과 놋줄로 동이고 그것을 들 靑草(청초) 가운데
있게 하라 그것이 하늘 이슬에 젖고 또 들짐승으로
더불어 그 分量(분량)을 같이 하며 ㅊ일곱 때를 지내리라 하더라 하시오니
You, O king, saw a messenger, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying, 'Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven; let him live like the wild animals, until seven times pass by for him.' And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; |

王(왕)이여 그 解釋(해석)은 이러하니이다 곧 至極(지극)히 높으신 者(자)의 命定(명정)하신 것이 내 主(주) 王(왕)에게 미칠 것이라
This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord the king: This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: |

ㅋ王(왕)이 사람에게서 쫓겨나서 들짐승과 함께 居(거)하며 ㅌ소처럼 풀을 먹으며 하늘 이슬에 젖을 것이요 이와
같이 일곱 때를 지낼 것이라 그 때에 ㅍ至極(지극)히 높으신 者(자)가 人間(인간) 나라를 다스리시며 自己(자기)의 뜻대로 그것을 누구에게든지 주시는 줄을 아시리이다
You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes. That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. |

또 그들이 ㅎ그 나무 뿌리의 그루터기를 남겨 두라 하였은즉 1)하나님이 다스리시는 줄을 王(왕)이 깨달은 後(후)에야 王(왕)의 나라가 堅固(견고)하리이다
The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules. And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule. |

그런즉 王(왕)이여 나의 諫(간)하는 것을 받으시고 ㅏ公義(공의)를 行(행)함으로 ㅑ罪(죄)를 贖(속)하고 가난한 者(자)를 矜恤(긍휼)히 여김으로 ㅓ罪惡(죄악)을 贖(속)하소서 그리하시면 王(왕)의 平安(평안)함이 或時(혹시) 長久(장구)하리이다 하였느니라
Therefore, O king, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue." Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity. |

All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. |

열 두달이 지난 後(후)에 2)내가 바벨론 宮(궁) 지붕에서 거닐새

Twehve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. |

나 王(왕)이 말하여 가로되 ㅕ이 큰 바벨론은 내가 ㅗ能力(능력)과 權勢(권세)로 建設(건설)하여 나의 都城(도성)을 삼고 이것으로 내 威嚴(위엄)의 榮光(영광)을 나타낸 것이 아니냐 하였더니
he said, "Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?" The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? |

ㅛ이 말이 오히려 나 王(왕)의 입에 있을 때에 하늘에서 소리가 내려 가로되
느부갓네살 王(왕)아 네게 말하노니 나라의 位(위)가 네게서 떠났느니라
The words were still on his lips when a voice came from heaven, "This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. |

ㅜ네가 사람에게서 쫓겨나서 들짐승과 함께 居(거)하며 소처럼 풀을 먹을 것이요 이와 같이 일곱 때를 지내서 至極(지극)히 높으신 者(자)가 人間(인간) 나라를 다스리시며 自己(자기)의
뜻대로 그것을 누구에게든지 주시는 줄을 알기까지 이르리라 하더니
You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes." 그 同時(동시)에 이 일이 나 느부갓네살에게 應(응)하므로 내가 사람에게 쫓겨나서 소처럼 풀을 먹으며 몸이 하늘 이슬에 젖고 머리털이
독수리 털과 같았고 손톱은 새 발톱과 같았었느니라
Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. |

● ㅠ그 期限(기한)이 차매 나 느부갓네살이 하늘을 우러러 보았더니
으내 聰明(총명)이 다시 내게로 돌아온지라 이에 내가 至極(지극)히 높으신 者(자)에게 感謝(감사)하며 이永生(영생)하시는
者(자)를 讚揚(찬양)하고 尊敬(존경)하였노니 ㅐ그 權勢(권세)는 永遠(영원)한 權勢(권세)요 그 나라는 代代(대대)로 이르리로다
At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: |

ㄱ땅의 모든 居民(거민)을 없는 것 같이 여기시며 하늘의 軍士(군사)에게든지,
땅의 居民(거민)에게든지 ㄴ그는 自己(자기) 뜻대로 行(행)하시나니 ㄷ누가 그의 손을 禁(금)하든지 或時(혹시)
ㄹ이르기를 네가 무엇을 하느냐 할 者(자)가 없도다
All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: "What have you done?" And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? |

그 同時(동시)에 ㅁ내 聰明(총명)이 내게로 돌아왔고 또 ㅂ내 나라 榮光(영광)에
對(대)하여도 내 威嚴(위엄)과 光明(광명)이 내게로 돌아왔고 또 ㅅ나의 謀士(모사)들과 ㅇ官員(관원)들이 내게 朝會(조회)하니 내가 내 나라에서 다시 세움을 입고 또 至極(지극)한 威勢(위세)가 ㅈ내게 더하였느니라
At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. |

그러므로 只今(지금) 나 느부갓네살이 ㅊ하늘의 王(왕)을
ㅋ讚揚(찬양)하며 稱頌(칭송)하며 尊敬(존경)하노니 ㅌ그의 일이 다 眞實(진실)하고 그의 行(행)하심이 義(의)로우시므로 ㅍ무릇
驕慢(교만)하게 行(행)하는 者(자)를 그가 能(능)히 낮추심이니라
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. |
