older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity. The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. |

ㅍ참 寡婦(과부)인 寡婦(과부)를 敬待(경대)하라
Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. Honour widows that are widows indeed. |

萬一(만일) 어떤 寡婦(과부)에게 子女(자녀)나 孫子(손자)들이 있거든 저희로 먼저 自己(자기) 집에서 ㅎ孝(효)를 行(행)하여 父母(부모)에게 報答(보답)하기를 배우게 하라
ㅏ이것이 하나님 앞에 받으실 만한 것이니라
But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God. |

ㅑ참 寡婦(과부)로서 외로운 者(자)는 하나님께 所望(소망)을 두어 ㅓ晝夜(주야)로
恒常(항상) 懇求(간구)와 祈禱(기도)를 하거니와
The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. |

ㅕ逸樂(일락)을 좋아하는 이는 살았으나 ㅗ죽었느니라
But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives. But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. |

네가 또한 ㅛ이것을 命(명)하여 그들로 責望(책망) 받을 것이 없게 하라
Give the people these instructions, too, so that no one may be open to blame. And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless. |

누구든지 自己(자기) 親族(친족) 特(특)히 ㅜ自己(자기) 家族(가족)을 돌아보지 아니하면 ㅠ믿음을 背叛(배반)한 者(자)요
不信者(불신자)보다 더 惡(악)한 者(자)니라
If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. |

寡婦(과부)로 名簿(명부)에 올릴 者(자)는 나이 六十(육십)이 덜 되지 아니하고 으한 男便(남편)의 아내이었던 者(자)로서

善(선)한 行實(행실)의 證據(증거)가 있어 或(혹)은 子女(자녀)를 養育(양육)하며 或(혹)은 나그네를 待接(대접)하며 或(혹)은 이聖徒(성도)들의 발을 씻기며 或(혹)은
ㅐ患難(환난) 當(당)한 者(자)들을 救濟(구제)하며 或(혹)은 모든 ㄱ善(선)한 일을 좇은 者(자)라야 할 것이요
and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the saints, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds. Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. |

젊은 寡婦(과부)는 拒絶(거절)하라 이는 ㄴ情欲(정욕)으로 그리스도를 背叛(배반)할 때에 시집가고자 함이니
As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry. But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; |

처음 믿음을 저버렸으므로 審判(심판)을
받느니라
Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. |

또 저희가 게으름을 익혀 집집에 돌아다니고 게으를 뿐 아니라 ㄷ妄靈(망령)된 貶論(폄론)을 하며 ㄹ일을 만들며 마땅히 아니할 말을 하나니
Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to. And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. |

그러므로 ㅁ젊은이는 시집가서 아이를 낳고 ㅂ집을 다스리고 對敵(대적)에게 ㅅ毁謗(훼방)할 機會(기회)를 조금도 주지 말기를 願(원)하노라
So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. |

萬一(만일) 믿는 女子(여자)에게 寡婦(과부) 親戚(친척)이 있거든 自己(자기)가 도와주고 敎會(교회)로 짐지지 말게 하라 이는
ㅈ참 寡婦(과부)를 도와주게 하려 함이니라
If any woman who is a believer has widows in her family, she should help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need. If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed. |

● ㅊ잘 다스리는 長老(장로)들을 ㅋ倍(배)나 尊敬(존경)할 者(자)로 알되 말씀과 가르침에 受苦(수고)하는 이들을 더할 것이니라
The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. |

聖經(성경)에 일렀으되 ㅌ穀食(곡식)을 밟아 떠는 소의 입에 망을 씌우지 말라 하였고 또 ㅍ일군이 그 삯을 받는 것이 마땅하다 하였느니라
For the Scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages." For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. |

長老(장로)에 對(대)한 訟事(송사)는 ㅎ두 세 證人(증인)이 없으면 받지 말 것이요

Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. |

犯罪(범죄)한 者(자)들을 ㅏ모든 사람 앞에 꾸짖어 ㅑ나머지 사람으로 두려워 하게 하라
Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that the others may take warning. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. |

ㅓ하나님과 그리스도 예수와 擇(택)하심을 받은 天使(천사)들 앞에서 내가 嚴(엄)히 命(명)하노니 너는 偏見(편견)이 없이 이것들을 지켜
ㅕ아무 일도 偏僻(편벽)되이 하지 말며
I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism. I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. |

ㅗ아무에게나 輕率(경솔)히 ㅛ按手(안수)하지 말고 ㅜ다른 사람의 罪(죄)에 干涉(간섭)지 말고 네 自身(자신)을 지켜 淨潔(정결)케
하라
Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure. |

이제부터는 물만 마시지 말고 ㅠ네 脾胃(비위)와 자주 나는 病(병)을 因(인)하여 으葡萄酒(포도주)를 조금씩 쓰라
Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses. Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. |
24 |
어떤 사람들의 罪(죄)는 밝히 드러나 먼저 審判(심판)에 나아가고 어떤 사람들의 罪(죄)는 그 뒤를 좇나니
The sins of some men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. |

이와 같이 善行(선행)도 밝히 드러나고 이그렇지 아니한 것도 숨길 수 없느니라
In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not cannot be hidden. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid. |
