1 그때에 弟子(제자)가 더 많아졌는데 헬라派(파) 유대人(인)들이 自己(자기)의 寡婦(과부)들이 그 每日(매일) 1)救濟(구제)에 빠지므로 히브리派(파) 사람을 怨望(원망)한대

In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.

And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

2 열 두 使徒(사도)가 모든 弟子(제자)를 불러 이르되 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 제쳐놓고 2)供饋(공궤)를 일삼는 것이 마땅치 아니하니
    2) 혹 재정 출납을

So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.

Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

3 兄弟(형제)들아 너희 가운데서 聖靈(성령)智慧(지혜)充滿(충만)하여 稱讚(칭찬) 듣는 사람 일곱을 擇(택)하라 우리가 이 일을 저희에게 맡기고

Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them

Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

4 우리는 祈禱(기도)하는 것과 3)말씀 傳(전)하는 것을 專務(전무)하리라 하니
행1:14     3) 헬, 말씀의 봉사를

and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word."

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

5 온 무리가 이 말을 기뻐하여 믿음聖靈(성령)充滿(충만)한 사람 스데반과 또 빌립과 브로고로와 니가노르와 디몬과 바메나와 유대敎(교)에 入敎(입교)한 안디옥 사람 니골라를 擇(택)하여

This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.

And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

6 使徒(사도)들 앞에 세우니 使徒(사도)들이 祈禱(기도)하고 그들에게 按手(안수)하니라

They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.

Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

7 하나님의 말씀이 漸漸(점점) 旺盛(왕성)하여 예루살렘에 있는 弟子(제자)의 數(수)가 더 甚(심)히 많아지고 許多(허다)한 祭司長(제사장)의 무리도 이 4)道(도)에 服從(복종)하니라

So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

8 ● 스데반이 恩惠(은혜)權能(권능)充滿(충만)하여 큰 奇事(기사)5)標蹟(표적)을 民間(민간)에 行(행)하니
행1:8     5) 혹 이적

Now Stephen, a man full of God's grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

9 리버디노 구레네人(인), 알렉산드리아人(인), 길리기아와 아시아에서 온 사람들의 會堂(회당)이라는 各(각) 會堂(회당)에서 어떤 者(자)들이 일어나 스데반으로 더불어 辯論(변론)할새

Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)--Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia. These men began to argue with Stephen,

Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

10 스데반이 智慧(지혜)聖靈(성령)으로 말함을 저희가 能(능)히 當(당)치 못하여

but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

11 사람들을 가르쳐 말시키되 이 사람이 모세와 및 하나님을 冒瀆(모독)하는 말하는 것을 우리가 들었노라 하게 하고

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say, "We have heard Stephen speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God."

Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

12 百姓(백성)과 長老(장로)와 書記官(서기관)들을 衝動(충동)시켜 와서 잡아 가지고 公會(공회)에 이르러

So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin.

And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,

13 거짓 證人(증인)들을 세우니 가로되 이 사람이 이 거룩한 곳과 律法(율법)을 거스려 말하기를 마지 아니하는도다

They produced false witnesses, who testified, "This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.

And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

14 그의 말에 이 나사렛 예수가 이 곳을 헐고 또 모세가 우리에게 傳(전)하여 준 規例(규례)고치겠다 함을 우리가 들었노라 하거늘

For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us."

For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.

15 公會(공회) 中(중)에 앉은 사람들이 다 스데반을 注目(주목)하여 보니 그 얼굴이 天使(천사)의 얼굴과 같더라

All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
