1 ㅏ染病(염병) 後(후)에 여호와께서 모세와 祭司長(제사장) 아론의 아들 엘르아살에게 일러 가라사대

After the plague the LORD said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest,
2 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 온 會衆(회중)의 總數(총수)를 그 祖上(조상)의 집을 따라 調査(조사)하되 이스라엘 中(중)에 무릇 ㅑ二十歲(이십세) 以上(이상)으로 能(능)히 싸움에 나갈 만한 者(자)를 計數(계수)하라 하시니

Take a census of the whole Israelite community by families--all those twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army of Israel.
3 모세와 祭司長(제사장) 엘르아살이 여리고 맞은便(편) 요단 가 ㅓ모압 平地(평지)에서 그들에게 告(고)하여 가로되

So on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them and said,
4 ㅕ여호와께서 애굽 땅에서 나온 모세와 이스라엘 子孫(자손)에게 命(명)하신대로 너희는 二十歲(이십세) 以上(이상)된 者(자)를 計數(계수)하라 하시니

Take a census of the men twenty years old or more, as the LORD commanded Moses. These were the Israelites who came out of Egypt:

The descendants of Reuben, the firstborn son of Israel, were: through Hanoch, the Hanochite clan; through Pallu, the Palluite clan;
6 헤스론에게서 난 헤스론 家族(가족)과 갈미에게서 난 갈미 家族(가족)이니
through Hezron, the Hezronite clan; through Carmi, the Carmite clan.
7 이는 르우벤 家族(가족)들이라 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅛ四萬(사만) 三千(삼천) 七百(칠백) 三十名(삼십명)이요

These were the clans of Reuben; those numbered were 43,730.
8 발루의 아들은 엘리압이요
The son of Pallu was Eliab,
9 엘리압의 아들은 느무엘과 다단과 아비람이라 이 다단과 아비람은 ㅜ會衆(회중) 가운데서 부름을 받은 者(자)러니 고라의 무리에 들어가서 모세와 아론을 거스려 여호와께 悖逆(패역)할 때에

and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. The same Dathan and Abiram were the community officials who rebelled against Moses and Aaron and were among Korah's followers when they rebelled against the LORD.
10 ㅠ땅이 그 입을 열어서 그 무리와 고라를 삼키매 그들이 죽었고 當時(당시)에 불이 二百(이백) 五十名(오십명)을 삼켜 으懲戒(징계)가 되게 하였으나

The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire devoured the 250 men. And they served as a warning sign.
11 그러나 고라의 이아들들은 죽지 아니하였더라

The line of Korah, however, did not die out.

14 이는 시므온 宗族(종족)들이니 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㄱ二萬(이만) 二千(이천) 二百名(이백명)이었더라

19 ● ㄹ유다의 아들은 에르와 오난이라 이 에르와 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었고

20 유다의 子孫(자손)은 그 宗族(종족)대로 이러하니 셀라에게서 난 셀라 家族(가족)과 베레스에게서 난 베레스 家族(가족)과 세라에게서 난 세라 家族(가족)이며
The descendants of Judah by their clans were: through Shelah, the Shelanite clan; through Perez, the Perezite clan; through Zerah, the Zerahite clan.
21 또 베레스 子孫(자손)은 이러하니 헤스론에게서 난 헤스론 家族(가족)과 하물에게서 난 하물 家族(가족)이라
The descendants of Perez were: through Hezron, the Hezronite clan; through Hamul, the Hamulite clan.
22 이는 유다 宗族(종족)들이니 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅁ七萬(칠만) 六千(육천) 五百名(오백명)이었더라

27 이는 스불론 宗族(종족)들이니 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅈ六萬(육만) 五百名(오백명)이었더라

29 ㅋ므낫세의 子孫(자손) 中(중) ㅌ마길에게서 난 것은 마길 家族(가족)이라 마길이 길르앗을 낳았고 ㅍ길르앗에게서 난 것은 길르앗 家族(가족)이라

The descendants of Manasseh: through Makir, the Makirite clan (Makir was the father of Gilead); through Gilead, the Gileadite clan.
30 길르앗 子孫(자손)은 이러하니 이에셀에게서 난 이에셀 家族(가족)과 헬렉에게서 난 헬렉 家族(가족)과
These were the descendants of Gilead: through Iezer, the Iezerite clan; through Helek, the Helekite clan;
31 아스리엘에게서 난 아스리엘 家族(가족)과 세겜에게서 난 세겜 家族(가족)과
through Asriel, the Asrielite clan; through Shechem, the Shechemite clan;
32 스미다에게서 난 스미다 家族(가족)과 헤벨에게서 난 헤벨 家族(가족)이며
through Shemida, the Shemidaite clan; through Hepher, the Hepherite clan.
33 헤벨의 아들 ㅎ슬로브핫은 아들이 없고 딸 뿐이라 그 딸의 이름은 말라와 노아와 호글라와 밀가와 디르사니

(Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons; he had only daughters, whose names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.)
34 이는 므낫세의 宗族(종족)들이라 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅏ五萬(오만) 二千(이천) 七百名(칠백명)이었더라

35 ● 에브라임 子孫(자손)은 그 宗族(종족)대로 이러하니 수델라에게서 난 수델라 家族(가족)과 8)베겔에게서 난 베겔 家族(가족)과 다한에게서 난 다한 家族(가족)이며

These were the descendants of Ephraim by their clans: through Shuthelah, the Shuthelahite clan; through Beker, the Bekerite clan; through Tahan, the Tahanite clan.
36 수델라 子孫(자손)은 이러하니 에란에게서 난 에란 家族(가족)이라
These were the descendants of Shuthelah: through Eran, the Eranite clan.
37 이는 에브라임 子孫(자손)의 宗族(종족)들이니 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅑ三萬(삼만) 二千(이천) 五百名(오백명)이라 以上(이상)은 그 宗族(종족)을 따른 요셉 子孫(자손)이었더라

through Shupham, the Shuphamite clan; through Hupham, the Huphamite clan.

The descendants of Bela through Ard and Naaman were: through Ard, the Ardite clan; through Naaman, the Naamite clan.
41 이는 그들의 宗族(종족)을 따른 베냐민 子孫(자손)이라 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅕ四萬(사만) 五千(오천) 六百名(육백명)이었더라

43 수함 모든 家族(가족)의 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)가 ㅛ六萬(육만) 四千(사천) 四百名(사백명)이었더라

44 ● ㅜ아셀 子孫(자손)은 그 宗族(종족)대로 이러하니 임나에게서 난 임나 家族(가족)과 이스위에게서 난 이스위 家族(가족)과 브리아에게서 난 브리아 家族(가족)이며

(Asher had a daughter named Serah.)

The LORD said to Moses,
53 ㄱ이 計數(계수)대로 땅을 나눠 주어 基業(기업)을 삼게 하라

The land is to be allotted to them as an inheritance based on the number of names.
54 數(수)가 ㄴ많은 者(자)에게는 基業(기업)을 많이 줄 것이요 數(수)가 적은 者(자)에게는 基業(기업)을 적게 줄 것이니 그들의 計數(계수)함을 입은 數(수)대로 各其(각기) 基業(기업)을 주되

To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one; each is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those listed.
55 오직 그 ㄷ땅을 제비뽑아 나누어 그들의 祖上(조상) 支派(지파)의 이름을 따라 얻게 할찌니라

Be sure that the land is distributed by lot. What each group inherits will be according to the names for its ancestral tribe.
56 그 多少(다소)를 勿論(물론)하고 그 基業(기업)을 제비 뽑아 나눌찌니라
Each inheritance is to be distributed by lot among the larger and smaller groups."
57 ● 레위人(인)의 計數(계수)함을 입은 者(자)는 그 宗族(종족)대로 ㄹ이러하니 게르손에게서 난 게르손 家族(가족)과 고핫에게서 난 고핫 家族(가족)과 므라리에게서 난 므라리 家族(가족)이며

These were the Levites who were counted by their clans: through Gershon, the Gershonite clan; through Kohath, the Kohathite clan; through Merari, the Merarite clan.
58 레위 宗族(종족)들은 이러하니 립니 家族(가족)과 헤브론 家族(가족)과 말리 家族(가족)과 무시 家族(가족)과 고라 家族(가족)이라, 고핫은 아므람을 낳았으며
These also were Levite clans: the Libnite clan, the Hebronite clan, the Mahlite clan, the Mushite clan, the Korahite clan. (Kohath was the forefather of Amram;
59 아므람의 妻(처)의 이름은 ㅁ요게벳이니 레위의 딸이요 애굽에서 레위에게서 난 者(자)라 그가 아므람에게서 아론과 모세와 그 누이 미리암을 낳았고

the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to the Levites in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses and their sister Miriam.
60 ㅂ아론에게서는 나답과 아비후와 엘르아살과 이다말이 났더니

Aaron was the father of Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61 ㅅ나답과 아비후는 다른 불을 여호와 앞에 드리다가 죽었더라
ㅅ 민3:4 레10:1,2 대상24:2
But Nadab and Abihu died when they made an offering before the LORD with unauthorized fire.)
62 레위人(인)의 一個月(일개월) 以上(이상)으로 計數(계수)함을 입은 모든 男子(남자)가 ㅇ二萬(이만) 三千名(삼천명)이었더라 그들은 ㅈ이스라엘 子孫(자손) 中(중) 計數(계수)에 들지 아니하였으니 이는 ㅊ이스라엘 子孫(자손) 中(중)에서 그들에게 준 基業(기업)이 없음이었더라

All the male Levites a month old or more numbered 23,000. They were not counted along with the other Israelites because they received no inheritance among them.
63 ● 이는 모세와 祭司長(제사장) 엘르아살의 計數(계수)한 者(자)라 그들이 여리고 맞은便(편) 요단 가 ㅋ모압 平地(평지)에서 이스라엘 子孫(자손)을 計數(계수)한 中(중)에는

These are the ones counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
64 모세와 祭司長(제사장) 아론이 시내 曠野(광야)에서 ㅌ計數(계수)한 이스라엘 子孫(자손)은 한사람도 들지 못하였으니

Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai.
65 이는 여호와께서 그들에게 對(대)하여 말씀하시기를 그들이 ㅍ반드시 曠野(광야)에서 죽으리라 하셨음이라 이러므로 여분네의 아들 ㅎ갈렙과 눈의 아들 여호수아 外(외)에는 한 사람도 남지 아니하였더라

For the LORD had told those Israelites they would surely die in the desert, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
