1 이에 다리오 王(왕)이 詔書(조서)를 내려 書籍(서적) 곳간 곧 바벨론에서 寶物(보물)을 쌓아 둔 곳에서 調査(조사)하게 하였더니

King Darius then issued an order, and they searched in the archives stored in the treasury at Babylon.

Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.

2 메대道(도) 악메다 宮(궁)에서 한 두루마리를 얻으니 거기 記錄(기록)하였으되

A scroll was found in the citadel of Ecbatana in the province of Media, and this was written on it: Memorandum:

And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

3 고레스 王(왕) 元年(원년)에 詔書(조서)를 내려 이르기를 예루살렘 하나님의 殿(전)에 對(대)하여 이르노니 이 殿(전) 곧 祭祀(제사)드리는 處所(처소)를 建築(건축)하되 地臺(지대)를 堅固(견고)히 쌓고 그 殿(전)의 高(고)는 六十(육십) 규빗으로, 廣(광)도 六十(육십) 규빗으로 하고

In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem: Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let its foundations be laid. It is to be ninety feet high and ninety feet wide,

In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;

4 큰 돌 세 켜에 새 나무 한 켜를 놓으라 그 經費(경비)는 다 王室(왕실)에서 내리라

with three courses of large stones and one of timbers. The costs are to be paid by the royal treasury.

With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house:

5 또 느브갓네살이 예루살렘 殿(전)에서 取(취)하여 바벨론으로 옮겼던 하나님의 殿(전) 金(금), 銀(은) 器皿(기명)을 돌려 보내어 예루살렘 殿(전)에 가져다가 하나님의 殿(전) 안 各其(각기) 本處(본처)에 둘찌니라 하였더라

Also, the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, are to be returned to their places in the temple in Jerusalem; they are to be deposited in the house of God.

And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.

6 이제 江(강) 西便(서편) 總督(총독) 닷드내와 스달보스내와 너희 同僚(동료) 江(강) 西便(서편) 아바삭 사람들은 그곳을 멀리하여

Now then, Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and you, their fellow officials of that province, stay away from there.

Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:

7 하나님의 殿(전) 役事(역사)를 막지 말고 유다 總督(총독)과 長老(장로)들로 하나님의 이 殿(전)을 本處(본처)에 建築(건축)하게 하라

Do not interfere with the work on this temple of God. Let the governor of the Jews and the Jewish elders rebuild this house of God on its site.

Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place.

8 내가 또 詔書(조서)를 내려서 하나님의 이 殿(전)을 建築(건축)함에 對(대)하여 너희가 유다 사람의 長老(장로)들에게 行(행)할 것을 알게 하노니 王(왕)의 財産(재산) 곧 江(강) 西便(서편) 稅金(세금) 中(중)에서 그 經費(경비)를 이 사람들에게 迅速(신속)히 주어 저희로 遲滯(지체)치 않게 하라

Moreover, I hereby decree what you are to do for these elders of the Jews in the construction of this house of God: The expenses of these men are to be fully paid out of the royal treasury, from the revenues of Trans-Euphrates, so that the work will not stop.

Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.

9 또 그 需用物(수용물) 곧 하늘의 하나님께 드릴 燔祭(번제)의 수송아지와 수羊(양)과 어린 羊(양)과 또 밀과 소금과 葡萄酒(포도주)와 기름을 예루살렘 祭司長(제사장)의 所請(소청)대로 零落(영락)없이 날마다 주어

Whatever is needed--young bulls, rams, male lambs for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, and wheat, salt, wine and oil, as requested by the priests in Jerusalem--must be given them daily without fail,

And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:

10 저희로 하늘의 하나님께 香氣(향기)로운 祭物(제물)을 드려 王(왕)과 王子(왕자)들의 生命(생명)을 爲(위)하여 祈禱(기도)하게 하라

so that they may offer sacrifices pleasing to the God of heaven and pray for the well-being of the king and his sons.

That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.

11 내가 또 詔書(조서)를 내리노니 無論(무론) 누구든지 이 命令(명령)을 變改(변개)하면 그 집에서 들보를 빼어내고 저를 그 위에 매어달게 하고 그 집은 이로 因(인)하여 거름더미가 되게 하라

Furthermore, I decree that if anyone changes this edict, a beam is to be pulled from his house and he is to be lifted up and impaled on it. And for this crime his house is to be made a pile of rubble.

Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.

12 萬一(만일) 列王(열왕)이나 百姓(백성)이 이 詔書(조서)變改(변개)하고 손을 들어 예루살렘 하나님의 殿(전)을 헐찐대 그곳에 이름을 두신 하나님이 저희를 滅(멸)하시기를 願(원)하노라 나 다리오가 詔書(조서)를 내렸노니 迅速(신속)히 行(행)할찌어다 하였더라

May God, who has caused his Name to dwell there, overthrow any king or people who lifts a hand to change this decree or to destroy this temple in Jerusalem. I Darius have decreed it. Let it be carried out with diligence.

And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.

13 ● 다리오 王(왕)의 詔書(조서)가 내리매 江(강) 西便(서편) 總督(총독) 닷드내와 스달보스내와 그 同僚(동료)들이 迅速(신속)히 遵行(준행)한지라

Then, because of the decree King Darius had sent, Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and their associates carried it out with diligence.

Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.

14 유다 사람의 長老(장로)들이 先知者(선지자) 학개와 잇도의 孫子(손자) 스가랴의 權力(권력)으로 因(인)하여 殿(전) 建築(건축)할 일이 亨通(형통)한지라 이스라엘 하나님의 命令(명령)과 바사 王(왕) 고레스와 다리오와 아닥사스다의 詔書(조서)를 좇아 殿(전)을 建築(건축)하며 畢役(필역)하되

So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, a descendant of Iddo. They finished building the temple according to the command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes, kings of Persia.

And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

15 다리오 王(왕) 六年(육년) 아달月(월) 三日(삼일)에 殿(전)을 畢役(필역)하니라

The temple was completed on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

16 ● 이스라엘 子孫(자손)과 祭司長(제사장)들과 레위 사람들과 其他(기타) 사로잡혔던 者(자)의 子孫(자손)이 즐거이 하나님의 殿(전) 奉獻式(봉헌식)을 行(행)하니

Then the people of Israel--the priests, the Levites and the rest of the exiles--celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy.

And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,

17 하나님의 殿(전) 奉獻式(봉헌식)을 行(행)할 때에 수소 一百(일백)과 수羊(양) 二百(이백)과 어린 羊(양) 四百(사백)을 드리고 또 이스라엘 支派(지파)의 數(수)를 따라 수염소 열 둘로 이스라엘 全體(전체)를 爲(위)하여 贖罪祭(속죄제)를 드리고

For the dedication of this house of God they offered a hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred male lambs and, as a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, one for each of the tribes of Israel.

And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

18 祭司長(제사장)을 分班(분반)대로, 레위 사람을 班次(반차)대로 세워 예루살렘에서 하나님을 섬기게 하되 모세의 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 대로 하게 하니라

And they installed the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their groups for the service of God at Jerusalem, according to what is written in the Book of Moses.

And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.

19 ● 사로잡혔던 者(자)의 子孫(자손)이 正月(정월) 十四日(십사일)에 逾越節(유월절)을 지키되

On the fourteenth day of the first month, the exiles celebrated the Passover.

And the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.

20 祭司長(제사장)들과 레위 사람들이 一齊(일제)히 몸을 淨潔(정결)케 하여 다 淨潔(정결)하매 사로잡혔던 者(자)의 모든 子孫(자손)과 自己(자기) 兄弟(형제) 祭司長(제사장)들과 自己(자기)를 爲(위)하여 逾越節(유월절) 羊(양)을 잡으니

The priests and Levites had purified themselves and were all ceremonially clean. The Levites slaughtered the Passover lamb for all the exiles, for their brothers the priests and for themselves.

For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

21 사로잡혔다가 돌아온 이스라엘 子孫(자손)과 무릇 스스로 區別(구별)하여 自己(자기) 땅 異邦(이방) 사람의 더러운 것을 버리고 이스라엘 무리에게 屬(속)하여 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 求(구)하는 者(자)가 다 먹고

So the Israelites who had returned from the exile ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the unclean practices of their Gentile neighbors in order to seek the LORD, the God of Israel.

And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,

22 즐거우므로 七日(칠일) 동안 無酵節(무교절)을 지켰으니 이는 여호와께서 저희로 즐겁게 하시고 또 앗수르 王(왕)의 마음을 저희에게로 돌이켜 이스라엘의 하나님이신 하나님의 殿(전) 役事(역사)하는 손을 힘있게 하도록 하셨음이었느니라

For seven days they celebrated with joy the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria, so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.

And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
